Best Mac And Cheese Casserole Recipe for Easter day 2024

Mac and Cheese Casserole is made with elbow macaroni, a mix of cheeses, cracker crumbs, and bacon slices for the ultimate creamy and delicious sensation! It was ultra-creamy inside and crispy on top since I used two types of cheese and cream.

Preheat oven to 350°F.Grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter or non-stick spray. Set aside.Follow packaging instructions to cook pasta al dente. Drain, combine with olive oil, and set aside.

Add butter to a large saucepan over medium heat. Carefully stir and melt butter without burning.Whisk the flour into the melted butter.

While whisking, slowly add milk, stirring. This stage should be taken slowly.Whisk cream and cornflour in a small bowl until well blended and dissolved. Add mixture to pan. Mix well.

Add evaporated milk and mix. Spice up with onion, garlic, ground thyme, paprika, mustard, red pepper flakes, and salt.Stir over medium heat, boil, and simmer for 2 minutes.

Sour cream and cream cheese should be properly mixed. If the sauce is too thick, add milk or chicken broth. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.Add 3 cups freshly grated or pre-shredded cheddar and 1 cup mozzarella cheese to low heat. Mix until cheese melts.

Take the pan off the heat and add the elbow pasta that has been cooked. Use a stir to mix.Put the mixture in the casserole dish that has been made.

Use a fork to thoroughly combine the cracker crumbs and melted butter in a medium bowl. Stir the mixture until it is completely incorporated.

A spatula should be used to level the top, and then one cup of mozzarella cheese and one cup of cheddar cheese should be sprinkled evenly over the surface of the dish.

Make sure that the Buttery Cracker Topping is distributed evenly across the surface, and if you want to use it, sprinkle chopped cooked bacon on top.
