Delicious overnight french toast casserole. Cranberry-orange flavor makes it festive enough for Christmas morning breakfast or brunch.
INGREDIENTS
– 1 Loaf of Brioche Bread Cubed– 1/3 Cup of Chopped Cranberrie– 6 Egg– 2 Cups of Whole Milk– 1 Cup of Orange Juice– Zest of One Orange– 3 tbsp of Light Brown Sugar – 1 tsp of Cinnamon– 1/2 tsp of Salt– Confectioner's sugar or maple syrup (optional)– – Topping– 4 tbsp of Brown Sugar– 2 tbsp of Granulated Sugar– 2 tbsp of Cold Butter– 1/2 tbsp of Cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
Clean and grease a 13x9-inch pan. Cut the Brioche bread into small cubes and arrange them in a pan that has been greased.
Step 1
Add the orange juice, orange peel, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to the eggs. Put cherries in the pan with the cubed bread.
Step 2
Put the egg mix on top of the cherries and cubed bread. Put the lid on and leave it overnight.
Step 3
Take the pan out of the fridge in the morning and set it on the counter for 20 to 30 minutes. If you put a cold Pyrex dish in the oven, it might break.
Step 4
Warm the oven up to 350 degrees. To make the topping, mix together cinnamon, brown sugar, and powdered sugar. Add cold butter and cut.
Step 5
Put the filling on top of your french toast. Let it bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Step 6
When it's time to serve, sprinkle confectioner's sugar or maple syrup on top.
