– 1½ cup dates – ½ cup sugar– ¼ cup melted chocolate– ¾ cup water– 1 cup walnuts – 2 cups all-purpose flour – ½ teaspoon baking soda– ¾ cup brown sugar– 1 teaspoon vanilla– ½ teaspoon salt– ½ cup butter– 2 egg

Over medium heat, combine chopped dates, ½ cup sugar, water, and melted chocolate in a saucepan. Stir until thick and bubbling.
