Hazelnut Butter Blossoms Recipe

Peanut butter kiss cookies with hazelnut butter blossoms are beautiful. Fresh spiced hazelnut butter, sugar cookie dough, and chocolate kisses!

spiced homemade hazelnut butter – 1 c (135g) whole hazelnut – 1 tbsp (13g) sugar – 1 tsp ground cinnamon – ½ tsp vanilla extract – ¼ tsp salt hazelnut butter blossom – 1 ⅔ c (200g) all purpose flour – 1 tsp (6g) baking soda – 1 tsp instant espresso powder – ½ tsp salt – ½ c (113g) unsalted butter, room temperature – ½ c (135g) homemade hazelnut butter – ½ c (100g) granulated sugar, plus more for rolling – ½ c (100g) light brown sugar – 1 large egg, room temperature – 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract – 58-60 Hershey's chocolate kisse

Transfer the whole or chopped hazelnuts to a food processor. Grind for three to five minutes, or until smooth.

Include sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Blend well. Get ½ cup hazelnut butter. Keep leftovers for later. Reservé.

Mix the instant espresso, baking soda, flour, and salt together with a whisk.

Cream the butter, handmade hazelnut butter, and sugars on medium speed for 3–4 minutes.

After about a minute of medium-speed beating, add the egg and vanilla extract and beat until smooth and well blended.

Combine dry and wet components slowly. Scrape the bowl sides and bottom to incorporate the dough evenly.

Make sure the dough is covered and then put it in the refrigerator for an hour so that it may chill.

Heat oven to 375 F (190 C). Measure teaspoons of cookie dough. Hand-roll the dough into a tiny ball.

Put sugar-coated cookie dough balls 2" apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cookies bake 6-8 minutes at 375 F (190 C). Puffed, set-edged cookies.

After baking, let the baking sheet cool on a rack for 20 minutes to properly cool the cookies.
