Healthy Doritos Taco Salad Recipe

The Doritos Taco Salad has a creamy Miracle Whip sauce and lots of fresh vegetables, beans, and crunchy chips.


– 1 lb. ground beef – 1/2 yellow onion, chopped – 1 1/2 Tablespoons homemade taco seasoning – 1 head lettuce or about 6 cups chopped mixed lettuce – 4 tomatoes, chopped – 2 avocados, chopped – 15 oz. can kidney beans, rinsed and drained – 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese – 1 large bag Doritos or Frito For the dressing: – 3/4 cup Miracle Whip – 1/4 cup sour cream – 1 Tablespoon sugar – Juice of 1 lime – 1 Tablespoon taco seasoning – 1-2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce, to taste


Put the ground beef and onions in a pan over medium-low heat. Cook the beef and onions until they get brown and soft. 

Step 1

Salt and pepper to taste, along with taco spice, should be sprinkled over top (if necessary). Take away from the heat.

Step 2

While this is going on, make the dressing. The Miracle Whip, sour cream, taco seasoning, sugar, and spicy sauce should be mixed together with a whisk.

Step 3

Put the lettuce, avocado, tomato, beans, cheese, beef mixture, and chips into a bowl and mix them together.

Step 4

Stir the dressing into the mixture until it is completely incorporated. Serve as soon as possible.
