A honey-baked ham from scratch (with the best honey glaze) that's quick, easy, and guaranteed to please for the holiday? That's what we all want!
Set up the pan for cooking. Warm the oven up to 150°C/300°F. Move the oven rack to the bottom position.
Put two cups of water in the pan's bottom.Combine the honey glaze. Mix the honey, sugar, orange juice, mustard, and spices in a medium-sized bowl.Put the sauce on the ham and bake it.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes per pound, which is about 1 ½ hours for a 9-pound ham. You'll re-glaze every 30 minutes for the next hour and a half.Make the sauce caramelised.
After 1 and a half hours, raise the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C), remove the aluminium foil, and brush the ham with the last ¼ of the sauce.
To make the ham shine, glaze it, and add a little caramelised sugar, put it back in the oven without the lid on for 15 to 20 minutes.Cut up the ham.
After letting the ham rest for a few minutes, cut it up by taking the spiral slices off of the flat, bigger end first.
