Sauteed Carrots With Bacon Dijon Dressing Recipe For Easter Day 2024

These sautéed carrots with bacon Dijon dressing are too good to pass up! They're great for a quick dinner during the week or as a side dish for the holidays.


– 4 pieces bacon, diced into ¼-inch piece 1 ½ pounds carrots, peeled and thinly sliced on a diagonal 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar ¼ teaspoon kosher salt freshly ground black pepper 1 tablespoon thinly sliced chive

Low to medium heat should be used for the big pot. Add the bacon and stir it around a lot for 10 to 12 minutes, until it's brown and crisp.

With a slanted spoon, move the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels. Take out all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon fat from the pan.

Turn up the heat to a medium level. Cover the pan with foil and add the carrots. Cook for three to four minutes without moving, letting the bottom edge caramelise.

Take off the lid and stir for two to three minutes without it. After that, add the crispy bacon, mustard, honey, vinegar, salt, and pepper.

Stir everything together for one more minute.Add newly chopped chives as a garnish and toss with the food before serving.
