Shakshuka Recipe (Easy & Traditional) Recipe For Easter Day 2024

North African and Middle Eastern shakshuka is poached eggs in a spiced tomato sauce. Easy, healthful, and ready in under 30 minutes.   


– 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 medium onion, diced 1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped 2 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon cumin ¼ teaspoon chili powder 1 (28-ounce can) whole peeled tomatoe 6 large egg salt and pepper, to taste 1 small bunch fresh cilantro, chopped 1 small bunch fresh parsley, chopped

Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan on medium. Add the diced bell pepper and onion and sauté for 5 minutes until transparent.

Add garlic and spices and cook another minute. Break up the tomatoes with a large spoon after emptying the can and liquid into the pan.

Sprinkle salt and pepper and boil the sauce. Make small wells in the sauce with your large spoon and crack eggs into them.

For 5–8 minutes, cook eggs till desired. Egg frying is faster with a lid.Add chopped cilantro and parsley before serving.
