Simple Lucky Charms Treats Recipe

Lucky Charms treats are Rice Krispie treats with a new cereal! A simple no-bake cake with five ingredients, it's excellent for St. Patrick's Day.

SERVINGS: 24 BARS – 6 tablespoons unsalted butter sliced into tablespoon-sized pieces (85 grams) – 1 (16-ounce) package mini marshmallow – ¼ teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract – 9 cups Lucky Charms cereal (350 grams; plus extra marshmallows for topping)


Step 1

Cover a 9x13-inch baking pan with aluminium foil, leaving an overhang for easy removal. Set aside nonstick cooking spray or butter-greased foil.

Step 2

Add sliced butter to a large saucepan over medium-low heat and melt fully.

Step 3

Add salt and small marshmallows to melted butter. Stir until marshmallows are barely melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla after removing from heat.

Step 4

Mix half of the Lucky Charms cereal until well incorporated, then add the rest and mix until well combined.

Step 5

Scoop the mixture into the baking pan and flatten it into an equal layer. To simplify, oil your hands or a rubber spatula with nonstick frying spray. Optional: Sprinkle ½ cup Lucky Charms marshmallows on top and gently press in.

Step 6

Allow to cool at room temperature for 1-2 hours. Slice into bars and enjoy after removing from the pan!
