Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

– 1 1.2 oz. bag freeze dried strawberrie – ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter, room temperature – 8 oz. (226 g) cream cheese, room temperature – 4 cups (480 g) powdered sugar – 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract – ¼ tsp salt – 2 - 3 tbsp (30 - 45 ml) heavy cream

Pour the freeze dried strawberries into a food processor. Blend the berries until they resemble a fine powder.

Cream softened butter and room-temperature cream cheese for 4-5 minutes on low speed. Stop and scrape bowl sides as needed.

On low, stir in the freeze-dried strawberry powder until well blended. When necessary, scrape down the bowl.

Gradually add ½ cup (60 g) of sifted powdered sugar on low, mixing until well combined. As needed, scrape mixing bowl sides.

Vanilla, salt, and 2 teaspoons (30 ml) heavy cream follow sugar. Beat strawberry cream cheese frosting on high until well blended and desired consistency.

Should the strawberry buttercream be very thick, include 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of additional heavy cream by mixing thoroughly.

Store: Put the strawberry-cream cheese frosting in an airtight jar and refrigerate for a week.
