The Best Chicken Fried Recipe

Kids can assist make this chicken meal. They enjoy cracker crunching. Don't worry about imperfect measurements—wing it!

INGREDIENTS

– 30 saltine cracker – 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour – 2 tablespoons dry potato flake – 1 teaspoon seasoned salt – ½ teaspoon ground black pepper – 1 egg – 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halve – 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS

Crackers should be put in a big plastic bag that can be closed again and again.

Step 1

The bag should then be sealed, and the crackers should be rolled into coarse crumbs. 

Step 2

Salt, pepper, and flour should all be added and mixed well.

Step 3

In a small dish or bowl, beat the egg. Dredge each piece of chicken in egg, then put it in the bag with the crumbs. Close the bag and shake it to coat.

Step 4

In a big saucepan or deep fryer, heat the oil to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Step 5

For 15 to 20 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and the juices run clear, fry it and turn it over a lot.
