The Best Italian Nachos Recipe

Italian Nachos are made quickly using three cheeses, spaghetti sauce, and tart olives and banana peppers. These weeknight or appetizer nachos take less than 30 minutes to make.

INGREDIENTS

– 15 oz. Parmesan garlic pita chip – 4 oz. shredded Italian cheese blend – 1 ½ cups leftover spaghetti sauce with ground beef – 4 ounces fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced – ½ cup assorted marinated vegetables (banana peppers, peppadew peppers, green and black olives) – Fresh basil, chopped – Shredded Parmesan cheese, optional

INSTRUCTIONS

Warm the oven up to 400 degrees. Paper or foil should be used to line a half-sheet pan. Sprinkle the chips all over the top. 

Step 1

Add the Italian cheese mix on top, and then bake for 6 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese melts.

Step 2

Spread spaghetti sauce on top of the pan after taking it out of the oven. Add rounds of fresh mozzarella and the pickled veggies on top. 

Step 3

Put it back in the oven and bake for six more minutes. Then turn off the oven and turn on the broiler. 

Step 4

The cheese should melt and start to turn brown after two to three minutes under the broiler.

Step 5

Add fresh basil and chopped Parmesan cheese on top, and serve right away.
