Spicy Tuna Sushi Bowls Recipe 

This Spicy Tuna Sushi Bowl recipe was created as an ambassadorship with Genova Seafood. My opinions are always my own. I hope you enjoy your favorite sushi roll in a quick bowl!

INGREDIENTS

– 1 cup medium grain rice For the tuna: – 2 cans Genova Albacore Tuna in Olive Oil, drained – 2 Tablespoons soy sauce or tamari – 1 teaspoon minced garlic – 1 teaspoon minced ginger – 1 teaspoon rice vinegar – 1 teaspoon honey – 1 cucumber, sliced – 1 avocado, seeded and chopped – 2 green onions, green parts sliced thin – Pickled ginger, for serving – Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish For the sauce: – 1/4 cup mayonnaise – 1 teaspoon soy sauce – 1 teaspoon rice vinegar – 1 teaspoon Sriracha (or more if you like it spicier)

INSTRUCTIONS

Place the rice in a saucepan and add 2 cups of water and a large pinch of salt. 

Step 1

Once the mixture starts to boil, lower the heat, cover, and let it cook for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the rice is soft and the water is gone. Take it off the heat and set it aside.

Step 2

Mix the honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar in a medium-sized bowl using a whisk. Throw it in with the tuna. 

Step 3

Put the tuna in a pan and cook it for two to three minutes over medium-high heat. Take it off the heat.

Step 4

Mix the mayonnaise, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and Sriracha in a different small bowl using a whisk.

Step 5

Put some rice in each of the two bowls to make the bowls. Avocado, cucumber pieces, and tuna should be put on top. 

Step 6

Add toasted sesame seeds and green onions on top. If you want, you can serve it with pickled ginger and hot mayo.
