The best Scotcheroos Recipe

People who like chocolate and peanut butter will love this easy, no-bake recipe for Scotcheroos.

INGREDIENTS

– 1 cup light corn syrup – 1 cup sugar – 1 cup peanut butter – 6 cups Rice Krispie – 1 12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chip – 1 cup butterscotch chip

INSTRUCTIONS

Spray cooking spray on a 13-by-9-inch pan and set it away.

Step 1

In a big pot, mix sugar and corn syrup. Mixture will start to boil once the sugar is melted and the heat is turned up to medium-high.  

Step 2

Take it off the heat. Add the peanut butter and mix it in completely. The Rice Krispies should be mixed in well.

Step 3

Put the mix in the pan and lightly press it down. They will turn out too thick and hard if you press them down too much. They should be soft and chewy.

Step 4

You can use a double pot or the microwave to melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips. Be sure to stir them around a lot.  

Step 5

Pour over the cereal mix. Wait until it's cool, then cut it into bars and serve.
